Backflow Assembly Tester Refresher

SEMINAR OPTIONS

The following options are offered at our Training classroom;

Seminar presented in two consecutive days. 

(Standard format 8 am - 5 pm)

Goal

To provide training to previously certified backflow assembly testers wanting to prepare for recertification, by updating those individuals on changes in:

    1. National and state regulations
    2. Plumbing codes and Industry standards.
    3. Current backflow assembly test procedures.

    Typical Outline

  • Review of basic backflow theory, assembly applications, Tester certification requirements and new industry developments. Administer quizzes to provide student with study materials for written exam.
  • Review Test procedures for Spill Resistant & Pressure Vacuum Breaker, Double Check Valve Assembly, and Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly. Discuss any changes to approved test procedures.
  • Review of basic backflow assembly test procedures troubleshooting scenarios in wet lab.
  • Hands on testing in Lab.

    Cost of  Refresher $200.00 per Student

    This program is an intensive instructional activity which will involve a considerable amount of time and individual attention; therefore, it is necessary to limit enrollment to 25 students. This refresher is with a minimum of 15 students and a maximum of 25 students.

    The $85.00 Tester certification fees are not included as a part of this package.  The Practical part of the exam will be administered on Saturdays
